Ginny Scholes is a UK based wildlife photographer with a passion for wild places ... happiest when exploring in Africa or the polar regions of South Georgia and Arctic Canada.

Her incurable wanderlust began with a gap year spent travellin
g in Australia and New Zealand, followed by three years reading law at Aberystwyth University. Abandoning a legal career and running away to sea, Ginny spent fifteen years working on private yachts around the globe which proved to be much more fun. Dodging icebergs in the Southern Ocean, standing piracy watch in the Red Sea and navigating the Amazon River! Since then the travel bug hasn't gone away, IT'S JUST GOT WORSE!

A keen conservationist and supporter of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Ginny climbed Kilimanjaro in 2012 to raise funds for the Nairobi Nursery and has two adopted elephants named Shukuru and Kithaka.
